We have already achieved a lot in the last few years, but there is still a lot to do to be able to offer many children and young people a good school education and vocational training.
The focus is, of course, on daily lessons. This includes not only books, notebooks and pencils, but above all committed teachers who are given the opportunity for regular further training. And a warm meal every day, which unfortunately is not a matter of course for our pupils.
Even the construction of the buildings is not enough. Smaller and larger repairs are constantly needed.
We have a lot of plans for the future:
- A small sports field for volleyball and basketball
- Construction of an electrical workshop
- A residential building for our Gambian teachers
- Establishment of a beekeeping farm
- Construction of 4 more classrooms
- Establishment of the social centre (the building is ready)
- English and German literature for our library
- School furniture to equip the next classrooms
And hopefully our wishes and dreams will never end. However, they should never be an end in themselves, but should be oriented towards the needs of the children and young people.
